SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Responsibilities:

 

• Ownership of all manufacturing costs, including reporting, tracking / identifying issues and driving cost control.

• Actively engaged in monthly close process for product lines, including engagement with product line field management to understand monthly business activity, ensuring product line results are in compliance with IFRS standards and maintenance of required balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Participate in operations team meetings to understand key initiatives, business issues, and develop relationships with plant operations team members. Prepare and present relevant financial data, as required.

• Assist with the reporting responsibilities to Financial Reporting team including the preparation and review of monthly management reporting package including product line financial statements (income statement and balance sheet) underlying reasons for performance.

• Coordinate with Financial Planning and Analytics team to ensure consistency of financial reporting, key performance indicators, and financial performance measures. Contribute to the development of solutions of identified inconsistencies and the identification of best practices.

• Participate in the planning and execution midyear review and year-end external audit process, including directly working with the external audit team, technical IFRS research, and contribution to footnote disclosures.

• Partner with management and operations leaders to develop new cost reporting packages that quickly and fully identify the drivers of monthly results.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent capability. MBA preferred.

• 8+ years of GL accounting experience in manufacturing industry.

• Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Advanced MS Excel proficiency

• Data Analysis experience, and knowledge of SAP and Hyperion a plus.

• Self-starter able to create processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

• Ability to work under time constraints with a large and diverse group of internal customers.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both oral and written

The Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies and ensuring the smooth operation of the Payments program. The candidate will deliver innovative payment solutions that meet Franchisee and customer needs and drive business growth by creating detailed strategic plans, managing external and internal stakeholders, driving key business insights, implementing new operational processes and managing client needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with external partners, including Payments Processors and other Payments vendors, to manage program operations, resolve issues, and drive innovation.
  • Create scorecard to regularly assess payment partners and hold accountable for performance and adherence to SLAs and business roadmap.
  • Dive deep into internal and external data to understand Payments gaps/opportunities within Subway; analyzing program performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable recommendations & insights.
  • Analyzes Payments KPIs and P&L performance- assessing interchange, fees and vendor costs – summarizing financial performance to budget and identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Develop sound, data-driven based insights for prioritization and decision making; this includes using product analytics, market research, user research, and business needs.
  • Partner cross-functionally to mitigate escalated payment issues and act as intermediary between franchisees, field teams, payment processors, card brands, and internal teams.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information, learnings and knowledge with internal and external business partners.
  • Create Communications for Franchisees and internal teams regarding changes in Payments Program or industry, as needed.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures, webpages and controls to identify opportunities to maximize department productivity and minimize errors.
  • Develops processes and dashboards to track complex items across multiple internal LOBs, including Refunds, Disputes, and Terminal Estate.

 

Qualifications (some examples listed below):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field and 4+ years experience. Finance or Payments experience preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Payments ecosystem, the cost of payments/cost drivers, emerging payment methods, payments processing, authentication, fraud.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong product sense and business judgment, grounding all product decisions in data, user feedback, and measurable impact.
  • Experience owning program strategy and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, and at multiple levels in an organization.
  • Self-starter with comfort with ambiguity and complex, fast paced environments and opportunities.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and deliver results on time and on budget.
  • Energetic, flexible, and self-motivated.
  • Proactive, team player but also able to work independently.
  • Ability to simplify and structure complex and ambiguous problems.

YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ or more years of recent/relevant media sales experience
  • Experience with the following desired: Cross platform selling; Strong digital video sales experience; Analytics; Media Campaigns; Programmatic Sales
  • Significant and strong client relationships at all levels
  • Track record of total revenue and platform revenue growth
  • Creative ideas that generates renewable and successful partnerships with the client
  • Coverage of the entire client and agency relationship

Salary Range = 150000 - 215000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
 
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
