Job Description

This position will ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
  • Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menu in front of guest
  • Answer phone and record reservations for large parties
  • Control high volume outside of restaurant
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and well being of guests
  • Assist servers when needed
  • Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell

Qualifications

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior host experience preferred
  • Must be able to multi task
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have alcohol training certification (TABC/TIPS)
  • Must have Food Handler permit (where applicable)

Job Description

To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional Food Runner / DRA services. 

Responsibilities

  • Must have complete knowledge of service times and menu. 
  • Must have complete knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers. 
  • Responsible for verifying complete order on ticket to food on cold line and hot line. 
  • Deliver food to correct tables according to ticket, floor plan, and seat numbers. 
  • Always inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform server or manager. 
  • Responsible for set-up of expo line with items specified in side work. 
  • Must consult with supervisor on any food delivery difficulty. 
  • Must minimize breakage. 
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.

  • Maintenance and replenishment of breakfast buffet items. Ensure items are full at all times, clean and presentable. 
  • Securing all breakfast vehicles such as platters, butter dishes, bread knives as directed by manager or posted in side work. 
  • Placing and receiving warehouse order daily and ensuring proper par levels of product 
  • Ensuring all products is within date and using the FIFO method of storage. 
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures. 
  • Exterior of Hotel with exposure to weather conditions. 
  • Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals. 
  • Exposure to food items and beverages. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year food runner experience or DRA experience 
  • Must have experience in selling and presenting wines  
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays  
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance 
  • Must be Food Handler and TIPS certified.

MANAGER

Job Description

To assist in managing and directing of all Housekeeping functions.  To participate in quality assurance for Housekeeping department and department cost control measures.  To provide support to the Executive Housekeeper in all areas of the Housekeeping Operation.  To ensure Omni standards are met in all areas by monitoring quality assurance, and consistently setting a good example.

Responsibilities

  • Provides courteous, personalized, attentive, sincere, consistent Guest Service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, request & Complaints using Guest Service Skills.  Exhibiting hospitality while striving to exceed Guest expectations.
  • Resolves difficult or unusual problems arising with Guests, while maintaining good Guest relationships, demonstrating outstanding hospitality through the corrective action taken.
  • Maintains open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.
  • Identify ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our service to guests by actively participating in the Omni Service Tradition program.
  • Assists Executive Housekeeper with all of the following departmental functions and concerns: assist with opening and the PM shift, maintaining turnover to an acceptable level, maintaining uniform control, purchasing and issuance, guest requests, monthly meetings, quality assurance in public space and guest rooms, linen and supply inventories, purchasing linen and supplies when needed, assist with scheduling, kronos and payroll cost controls.
  • Monitor Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels are maintained.
  • Maintaining close communication and interaction with Front Desk and Engineering departments, reporting all maintenance issues.
  • Inspects the cleaning and servicing of all guestrooms, and inspects all vacant rooms on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and complete all reports needed.  VIP’s, Due-Out’s V/D’s etc.
  • Identifies all cleaning defects and reassigns them to the responsible GRA. Completes a full inspection form for each GRA and forwards them to the Executive Housekeeper on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Housemen, ensuring that they are working appropriately with GRA’s, and that they are completing all daily housemen duties/special projects.
  • Participates in energy conservation efforts.
  • Respects Hotel property and work areas by keeping them clean, well maintained, stocked, and properly stored.  Eliminates waste of supplies.
  • Assists in maintaining Omni standards of cleanliness and a consistent guestroom/guest experience.
  • Assists in maintaining a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence, in service and cleanliness.

Qualifications

  • Prior Housekeeping Supervisory Experience in Hospitality.
  • High School Diploma or GED / College Degree preferred.
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to Multi-task.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have the ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Ability to work PM shifts to include weekends, and holidays
