The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is accepting applications from college students and recent graduates for the fall 2025 session of the HACU National Internship Program. The fall internship session dates are Sept. 1 – Dec. 12, 2025. The online application deadline is July 15, 2025.
College students are placed at federal agencies for a 15-week session. Internships are in Washington, D.C., and field offices nationwide and are offered as virtual, hybrid, or in-person opportunities.
Internships are available to currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate, and recently graduated students in any major. Students must have completed their first year of undergraduate studies.
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities will host a virtual Emerging Leaders’ Summit for college students on June 13, 2025, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. CT. Applications are being accepted from undergraduate and graduate students of all majors who are enrolled at a HACU-member institution.
The one-day Summit will provide students an opportunity to learn about career opportunities from industry professionals. Participants will engage in intensive workshops, panel discussions focused on leadership development, career readiness and have the chance to connect with HACU’s partners actively networking and recruiting for internship opportunities. Workshop topics will focus on leadership skills, networking, tips for resume writing, interviewing and securing internships.

Physical Requirements:

Compensation:

b. Supervisor Civil.
Ingeniero Civil y/o Arquitecto, con experiencia adquirida a partir del ejercicio de su profesión, en la ejecución de al menos 5 o más proyectos de supervisión de obras de infraestructura por un valor de las obras igual o mayor a US$300,000.00 cada uno de los proyectos, de las siguientes tipologías: centros hospitalarios, edificios habitacionales, oficinas o centros comerciales y centros educativos, institutos, complejos educativos y otros relacionados, en un cargo similar al que está siendo propuesto, durante el periodo de 2010 a la fecha, (en forma continua o alterna). Deberá tener experiencia y conocimientos en control de calidad de las obras supervisadas.
c. Supervisor Electricista.
Ingeniero Electricista, con experiencia adquirida a partir del ejercicio de su profesión, en la ejecución de al menos 5 o más proyectos de supervisión de obras por un valor de las obras igual o mayor a US$300,000.00 cada uno de los proyectos, de las siguientes tipologías: centros hospitalarios, edificios habitacionales, oficinas o centros comerciales y centros educativos, institutos, complejos educativos y otros relacionados, en un cargo similar al que está siendo propuesto, durante el periodo de 2010 a la fecha, (en forma continua o alterna).
d. Supervisor Ambiental.
Ingeniero Civil, Agrónomo, Forestal, Químico o Ambiental; Arquitecto; Licenciado en Biología, o similar, con experiencia adquirida a partir del ejercicio de su profesión, en la ejecución y/o supervisión de al menos 3 o más proyectos de infraestructura por un valor de las obras igual o mayor a US$300,000.00 cada uno cada uno de los proyectos, en las siguientes áreas: implementación o elaboración de planes de manejo ambiental, elaboración de informes de cumplimiento ambiental; conocimientos de legislación ambiental, plataformas y herramientas del MARN, en un cargo similar al que está siendo propuesto, durante el periodo de 2010 a la fecha, (en forma continua o alterna).
e. Supervisor Social.
Licenciado en Sociología, Trabajo Social, Psicología o similar, con experiencia adquirida a partir del ejercicio de su profesión en la ejecución y/o supervisión de al menos 3 o más proyectos de infraestructura por un valor de las obras igual o mayor a US$300,000.00 cada uno de los proyectos, en los que se realizaron entre otras, las siguientes actividades: supervisión de la gestión social y áreas relacionadas con la atención social y comunitaria, en salud y seguridad ocupacional, trabajos con pueblos indígenas, procesos de consulta libre, implementación de mecanismos y gestión de quejas, y/o procesos de reasentamientos. • Autorizar traslados, exoneraciones de asignaturas y rectificación de nombres y apellidos de los alumnos en los documentos pedagógicos de acuerdo a las normas específicas.
• Convocar y presidir el consejo directivo del liceo naval, así como las reuniones técnico-pedagógicas programadas para la buena marcha institucional.
• Proponer a la dirección de bienestar la cobertura de las plazas docentes, o administrativas vacantes y los movimientos internos del personal del liceo naval.
• Dirigir el proceso de calificación de notas y conceptos del personal directivo, docente y administrativo del liceo naval.
• Aprobar los requerimientos de materiales del liceo naval, asegurándose que se encuentren dentro de la asignación efectuada al liceo naval.
• Promover la actualización y perfeccionamiento del personal docente de acuerdo a las normas establecidas por la dirección de bienestar.
• Coordinar con la asociación de padres de familia y de egresados para la realización de actividades en beneficio del liceo naval.
• Verificar que los órganos del liceo naval cuenten con los recursos humanos, materiales y financieros necesarios.
• Recomendar la baja del material deteriorado, informando al departamento de educación de la dirección de bienestar de acuerdo a las disposiciones vigentes.
• Verificar que las actividades de administración de personal del liceo naval, se efectúen de acuerdo a las normas y disposiciones emitidas por la dirección de administración de personas.
• Otras funciones que le asigne el jefe del departamento de educación de la dirección de bienestar, relacionadas con la naturaleza del cargo.
