Warehouse/Forklift – Parts
Job Summary:
Supports southeastern Service Center and Generator Technicians. Responsible for handling all incoming calls, obtaining parts for Service Orders, maintaining van and battery/oil/antifreeze inventory levels. Will cross-train with local support staff to cover vacations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Order parts for the Service Department for service orders, preventive maintenance agreements and accepted proposals Track parts to ensure ship dates and on time delivery dates Check parts received vs parts ordered Monitor, reorder and replenish local van inventories Monitor and reorder oil, antifreeze and battery levels as needed for service area locations Coordinate delivery of parts to all technicians in service area; deliver in person as needed Coordinate waste oil management in service area Maintain warranty parts until disposition determined by company. Ship warranty parts when requested, providing documentation to Warranty Administrator Selling of non-company parts to customers Will give assistance on parts research to other branches and sales reps as needed Develop strong relations with vendors Research and cross reference parts for best pricing and on-time deliveries Travel in local service area as needed for deliveries or to retrieve parts Will use forklift Flexible schedule may include some weekends Other duties as assigned Education, Skills and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and experience and/or training with parts research for engines, equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience Intermediate to advanced experience working with Microsoft Office products Able to work in a fast paced, service-oriented environment Must be able to meet deadlines and be detail oriented Requires excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to be certified with forklift Must have good driving record Prior experience working in the power generation industry or industrial environment desired Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer applications. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (8 hours in that time frame)
