Osceola Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a Telecom Operator to join our team. This position will be PRN.
Job Description:
Provides quality customer satisfaction and contributes to departmental operations by relaying incoming, outgoing calls and pages in a prompt and courteous manner.
Responds to emergencies, STAT pages and alarms, within 10 seconds of request in accordance with departmental protocol.
Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in providing physician answering services; answer calls promptly and relays physician consult and referral calls, in a concise and accurate manner.
Ensures logging and documentation is thorough, accurate, and in accordance with departmental policies and standards.
Maintains proactive and effective communication with all members of the department team, physicians and all customers. Maintains effective interactions, communications, and rapport with area hospitals, physicians, and healthcare teams.
Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patients care which results in patient harm. Uses performance Improvement plan to improve patient safety.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
Completion of high school, or GED
One to three years of experience
Hospital system and PBX
Skills: Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, clerical.
