ABOUT THE TEAM

Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) is part of the Product Engineering board area and consists of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) and Cloud Application Services (CAS). As private cloud managed services provider, HEC Delivery is offering a key aspect in the intelligent business transformation journey of our customers and by joining forces with CAS, we enter a new era of end-to-end service experience for our customers.

One of our biggest customers has setup a transformation program called Journey to Cloud (J2C). A cornerstone of this transformation is to consume the entire SAP landscape as SaaS provided by SAP. In order to provide the right level of service, it has been decided to build a new team within ECS. The ECS Client Delivery Management (CDM) will provide an E2E service and will work dedicated for the customer, operating the entire customer SAP landscape with more than 80 productive systems and several of the largest HANA-based systems (e.g. 2x24TB ERP scale-out). The CDM team will work on building the services according to the customer needs, it will bring those services into daily operations and will work on continuous improvement and automation. 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Work (7x8h) may include weekends or public holidays as required by the project

• Ensure high availability of customer service by supporting service restoration in critical situation

• Solid know-how supporting SAP Systems technical implementations and upgrades (NW, Non-NW, ABAP and JAVA stacks, Cloud and On premise).

• Solid know-how on SAP systems daily technical operation/administration.

• Plan, coordinate and execute maintenance schedules of business system landscapes in alignment with the respective SaaS, PaaS and IaaS teams and solutions.

• Experience in ABAP/Java areas, HANA and monitoring.

• Ability to perform SAP Systems Performance and Troubleshooting Analysis.

• Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent, proactive way- Including new technologies as Fiori, SCP, Cloud Connector, and others.

• Good analytical RCA and solution-oriented thinking.

• Very good customer communication, networking, and team collaboration.

• Collaborate with all required stakeholders inside and outside SAP of IT Services (e.g. LoB customers, IT Operations, Application Services, IT Technology Services, Multi-Cloud CoEs, Cloud Infrastructure Services) to operate SAP´s system landscapes.

• Drive co-innovation with SAP´s development teams to integrate latest technologies in your landscapes

• Be part of a highly motivated international team with colleagues in Rumania, India, Germany and Mexico

• Monitor KPI and SLA compliance.

• Provide consulting in case technical advice is required.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Professional education or study in Information Technology, Natural Science or equivalent.

• +10 years’ experience as Technical BASIS / SAP NetWeaver Consultant or administrator.

• Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux and Windows operating system platforms.

• Working knowledge in HANA and RDBMS DB.

• Good overview about newest IT Technologies and SAP´s software solutions.

• Good IT infrastructure knowledge (hardware, network, file system, monitoring and backup tools).

• Strong consultant and operational background in IaaS, SaaS, PaaS solutions like MS Azure, SCP, HCP, Architecture, Data Interfaces and Cybersecurity.

• Project management skills in agile environments.

• Analytical skills and conceptual thinking.

• Excellent coordination and organizational skills.

• Strong collaboration and multi-cultural skills - Team player.

• Advanced communication and presentation skills.

• Fluent in English.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• First hands-on working experience in an SAP Basis environment

• Experience of working within global teams and different time-zones/culture.
