DUTIES:
Safely transport passengers along route. Determine who is authorized to board bus and enforce passenger guidelines. Use two-way radio and Mobile Data Terminal for status, location, and data entry. Complete daily paperwork such as pre-trip, mileage, and defect reports. Assist the department where needed to include dispatch, fueling/cleaning buses, and special events.
Average Number of Hours per Week: 20 - 30 hrs./wk.
Schedule: Drivers will be scheduled any time outside of their class schedule, during hours of operation (6:30 am through 12:30am). Drivers will also need to work at least one weekend day.
Minimum Qualifications: All applicants must be current USF students. Must have a safe driving record and at least one year of experience driving in the United States. If offered the job, applicants must pass a DOT Physical and a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with a Florida CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and no airbrake restriction. One-year experience in customer service also preferred.
