Stroke Coordinator - Registered Nurse RN - Largo

This position reinforces the mission of HCA and the West Florida Division by supporting and promoting optimal care. The Stroke Program Coordinator (SPC) facilitates the development, education of stakeholders, implementation, and ongoing adherence to the Stroke Clinical Practice Guidelines and encourages the protocols and therapies to become the standard of care for the facility. 

Largo Medical Center is an all private room, 455-bed statutory teaching hospital serving Tampa Bay area residents from three locations in Pinellas County.  The hospital’s Transplant Institute of Florida performs kidney and liver transplants, and the hospital recently added an LVAD program.

The hospital features a wide of comprehensive programs including behavioral health, Florida Breast Institute, cardiovascular services, clinical research, emergency care, imaging and diagnostic services, the Florida Orthopedic Pavilion, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, spine and neurological care at the Florida Spine & Neuro Center and weight loss/bariatric surgery at the Florida Bariatric Centers.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a Master's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience:

Three to five years of Acute Care, Critical Care, and/or ED experience with a solid grasp of hemodynamics

Licensure:

Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
