We are looking for a Staff Test Engineer to join our Apodaca/Monterrey, Mexico Team.


How You'll Help us Connect the World
The selected candidate is responsible for the development and implementation of the production test strategy in his/her assigned functional area. Primary responsibilities/duties for this position include functional test development and support at Board, Unit and/or Systems level Test. Working closely with both the Development and Program Management Teams supporting NPI’s ensuring that test process is defined and documented in the Manufacturing Test Requirements Document (MTR), implemented into the factories, validated using GR&R analysis. Working with Production teams (internally and externally) supporting the product through the complete life cycle process. The role requires management of Test HW and SW modifications, ECO’s, Cost reduction activities (test time reduction, OEE improvement and yield improvement strategies), Return and Repair test solutions and failure analysis. 
Essential functions
An excellent understanding of DFT and circuit testability issues. Capable of providing guidance to Engineering Design Teams to maximize module testability of new products.
Capable of designing, developing, implementing, and improving an overall product test process as well as providing input on existing test processes. 
Verifies/Documents that the product functionality meets design test specifications.
Develops production documentation including work instructions, test specifications, and calibration procedures
Assists in transition of new products from Engineering into Manufacturing.
Collect test data; perform analysis and retention on all final test data.
Root Cause Analysis of product yield and test time issues.
Represents the Manufacturing Operations team at meetings Design reviews, Quality reviews, Production meetings and others as required.
Global test asset utilization and management for capacity, cost, and flexibility at manufacturing facilities.
Training all manufacturing locations on test platform operation and maintenance, product testing procedures, product functionality, and diagnostic routines.
Ensures that IT tools and development support test platforms technical requirements for data management and test result recording be met.
Mentors and teach junior level engineers, engineering technicians, and non-technical personnel in the principles and practice of testing and test development.
Support products in Manufacturing; Maintain and upgrade test systems. Troubleshoots' manufacturing issues with the NPI Team. This may include improvements to test throughput, supplier quality issues or manufacturing quality.
Drive critical test engineering projects to obtain cost reductions and test optimization.


Required Qualifications for Consideration
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronic Engineering preferred).
• 3-5 years’ experience in Manufacturing/Test Engineering.
• Proficient in English Language (written and spoken).
• Ability to problem tackle using analytical, creative, and critical thinking methods. 
• Flexible approach to work required.
• Positive team player, with the ability to work effectively both on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to co-ordinate and prioritize tasks.
• Commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence crucial.


You Will Excite Us if you Have
• Experience working with Access Tech, CMTS or another IP based system functionality.
• Lab-view and Test-stand knowledge.
• Knowledgeable of production principles of GR&R, Lean/Six Sigma, and JIT manufacturing preferred.
• RF technical knowledge.
• Experience in Optical testing.
