Current Need

We are seeking a Sr. Sales Analyst to join our team in either Jacksonville, FL or Richmond, VA.

Position Description

This role is a part of the Sales Effectiveness team within McKesson Medical-Surgical. Our team’s mission is to help the business unit maintain market leadership. We do this by providing exceptional value to our sales force through the use of sales analytics, tools, technology, and training.

The Sr. Sales Analyst will be responsible for partnering with our lab sales specialist team, while ensuring quality and accuracy of data and reporting. He or she will work in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to provide expertise and support the ongoing demand for new or enhanced analyses and reports. Data formatting, clean up, and governance will also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and distribute standard and ad hoc reporting
  • Write SQL queries to pull data for investigation, solution development, and reporting
  • Create & maintain SOPs and end-user documentation
  • Perform data reviews to ensure alignment
  • Prepare written analysis and summarize results using graphical representations and professional formatting
  • Design and implement new solutions to existing and anticipated problems
  • Evaluate financial impacts of strategy
  • Manage the compilation, analysis, and reporting of data to forecast trends, and apply various analytical techniques to support territory and compensation optimization
  • Develop visualizations that compile, analyze and report on data
  • Gather requirements and modelling criteria for new/enhanced data initiatives
  • Collaborate with the team and IT/BI to automate data flows and processes
  • Clearly communicate ideas and insights to various levels of management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and internal customers
  • Collaborate with the team to QC reporting
  • Minimum Requirements
    4+ years relevant experience

    Critical Skills

  • 4+ years data analytics, sales analytics or similar
  • 2+ years experience managing and organizing data within a relational database
  • 2+ years experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • 2+ years’ experience sharing insights with business and leadership 
  • 1+ years writing SQL statements
  • Advanced MS Office expertise with Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
  • Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide an on-the-spot executive level summary of a highly technical concept
  • Possess ability and willingness to evaluate complex business problems, determine a solution, and make effective and persuasive presentations to management
  • Strong analytical, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment
  • Experience with data visualization software/techniques such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Exposure to salesforce.com
  • MBA or an equivalent advanced degree
  • Data process analysis and process improvement experience
  • Able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities
  • Demonstrated aptitude for adopting and learning new technologies and platforms
  • Education
    4-year degree in finance or related field or equivalent experience. MBA Preferred.
