Current Need

We are seeking a Sr. Escalation Analyst, Credit to join the McKesson Medical-Surgical team!

The Senior Escalation Analyst, Credit is responsible for analyzing the status of existing and new accounts to ensure the proper accounting procedures and policies are followed and to determine the credit level assigned for each account. This role will ensure accuracy and efficiency of Credit decisions including negotiating various Credit aspects of the Customer. Works closely with the Accounts Receivables Escalation Analyst as well as Sales and the Customer On-Boarding Team. Working under normal supervision, the Senior Escalation Analyst will handle complex accounts and structures and will provide leadership and judgment to escalated credit reviews from the MVT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and approve new account applications
  • Determine appropriate Credit enhancements required for Credit Approval
  • Conduct due diligence of customers credit worthiness
  • Analyze the status of new account applicants based on eligibility criteria
  • Work with manager on new account requests approval
  • Make recommendations for Credit limits based upon detailed credit analysis
  • Negotiate with Customers on various aspects of Credit extension
  • Research and gather financial information on customers from all sources available including sales force, previous payment history, customer supplied data, customer direct discussions, credit agencies and trade references
  • Determine course of action, including extending additional credit to existing accounts
  • Escalate issues to manager as necessary.
  • Work with Sales to determine Credit need
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience

    Critical Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in credit analysis, review and determination
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
  • Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Analytical skills in reviewing trend data and exception recognition
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Education

    BA Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent business experience

    Physical Requirements

  • Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required
  • General office demands
