The Social Worker position providesgroup, individual and family therapy as well as organizing and directingtreatment resources, discharge planning, patient progress, compliance withregulatory and accreditation standards and assuring that related issues areeffectively addressed and communicated to the patient, family and othersinvolved in the treatment process.  Must be physically able to providepatient crisis intervention.  Provides family groups, group, individualand family therapy, performs psychosocial assessments, and is an active memberof the admission/treatment/discharge team.  Make assessments as needed forpatients who are a possible threat to themselves or others, and perform theBaker Act for those who meet criteria for involuntary assessment.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree required.
• Current LCSW
• Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider required.
• At least one year of experience working within the mental health/behavior health unit strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
• Ability to quickly make decisions to report patient condition with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
