Senior Backend Developer m/f (100%)
Your responsibilities
Focus on coding and debugging APIs and other backend features.
Be involved and participate in the overall application life-cycle.
Define and communicate technical and design requirements.
Troubleshoot and debug applications.
Write unit and integration tests to identify malfunctions.
Optimise our APIs for maximum quality and speed.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of designers, developers and system administrators.
Follow new and emerging technologies
Stay up to date with current best practices.
Your profile
University degree in Computer Science or similar.
5+ years of experience in back-end software development.
Experience developing cloud-based web applications.
Experience with backend technologies (PHP / Symfony, Java, Kotlin).
Working knowledge with relational (MySQL and PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases.
Experience with REST APIs and WebSockets.
Up to date with new software development best-practices and standards.
Working experience with agile methods like Scrum or XP.
Experience with Docker containers (Kubernetes is a plus).
Experience with systems for Continuous Deployment (CD) and Continuous Integration (CI).
Skilled in Linux systems administration.
Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.
Good interpersonal and communications skills.
Proficiency in English.
Nice to have
Experience with frontend and mobile development using React.
Experience with Node.js.
Experience with GraphQL and gRPC
Working level of Portuguese and / or German.
