Ocala Health encompasses Ocala RegionalMedical Center, a 236-bed facility located in the heart of Ocala, and WestMarion Community Hospital, a 174-bed hospital located in west Marion County,and Summerfield ER, a freestanding emergency department located in southernMarion County. Ocala Health has the only Commission on Cancer approved cancercenter in Marion County. The hospitals offer a host of other quality and awardwinning services including bariatric surgery, orthopedic care and jointreplacement, robotic surgery, cardiac and vascular services including openheart surgery and interventional procedures, emergency, neurological and rehabilitationservices. Ocala Regional Medical Center is also a Level II Trauma Center. OcalaHealth’s outpatient facilities include Family Care Specialists, a primary carenetwork of six locations throughout Marion County; Advanced Imaging Centerswith two locations; a freestanding Wound and Hyperbaric Center; a SeniorWellness Community Center; and two surgical and physician specialty practices.

Under general supervision, the RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) will perform all respiratory care related duties.

Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages.

Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.

Respiratory Therapists are expected to be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader. Maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Vocational or 2 year Associate Degree

BLS

Reg. Respiratory Therapist - RRT-RCP or State Registered Respiratory Therapist

*ACLS - Pals Neonate Resuscitate (within 90 days of hire/transfer)

Less than 1 year of RT care experience

PREFERRED:

4 Year Bachelor Degree

1 - 3 years of Respiratory care experience
