REMOTE- Underwriter, Direct Endorsement - Doral

Robert Half Finance and Accounting has a client looking for multiple Direct Endorsement underwriters. This is a FULLY REMOTE position; you can do this role from anywhere in the country. Our client offers competitive pay, vacation time, health benefits and 401k.

Direct endorsement is highly preferred. If you do not have direct endorsement, but come from a nationwide lender, our client will sponsor you.

Responsibilities
•Analyze loan files to ensure compliance with FHA/VA, investor, and company guidelines
•Ensure “investment” quality loans through evaluation of credit packages and collateral.
•Maintain data integrity and accuracy of calculations.
•Ensure best practices and productivity level, ensuring underwriting turnaround time is within 48 hours and 24-hour turnaround for clearing conditions.
•Work to meet 3 decisions per day within time given. Make sure to communicate loan decisions to all interested parties.
•Provide monthly underwriting report and activity logs to underwriting manager.
•Able to assist processors and internal teams with questions on loan items.
•Post-closing reviews and audits are responded to in a timely fashion.
•Performs related duties, as directed by Underwriting or Operations Manager.

Qualifications
•Minimum 4 years of mortgage underwriting experience
•Experience with private investor and private mortgage insurance guidelines.
•Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills.
•Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
•Excellent analytical, written communication and verbal communication skills.
•Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.
