Part-Time (0.5 FTE), Days - 8 Hr. Shifts

Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute is a 380-bedacute-care hospital offeringa full range of services. Lawnwood is home to the most experienced HeartInstitute on the Treasure Coast providing interventional and therapeutic care,including open-heart surgery. The RN Stress Echo will schedule cardiac stress, cardioversion and TEE studies, prepare patient for the testing, perform procedures according to the department policies and procedures, and document all results.  Other duties included assisting in review and development of program protocols, policies and procedures, assisting with development, implementation, and tracking of quality and performance improvement programs and maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory.

Hours: Generally M - F, 8A – 3P, may require weekend duty/call

Procedures: Stress Tests (Nuclear, Exercise, Dobutamine, Lexiscan), Cardioversions, Bubble studies

Equipment: EKG monitors, Stress machines, Treadmills

The Kind of RN Who Best Fits This Role: Flexible with hours, Previous cardiac nursing experience required with stress lab preferred

Qualifications

• FL RN Licensure, or
• Recognized compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current BLS & ACLS Certifications (American Heart Association) as a Healthcare Provider.
• Previous acute RN care experience required
• Previous cardiac, stress RN experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing preferred.
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
