Facility Description:
St. Lucie Medical Center (SLMC) is a 229-bed acute care facility accredited bythe Joint Commission. Since 1983, St. Lucie has continually provided qualitycare to the Treasure Coast community. We offer a full range of services includinga birthing center, cardiac catheterization lab, cancer care, breast center, minimally-invasiveand robotic surgery, general and vascular surgery. The Orthopedic and SpineInstitute offers the latest in orthopedic equipment ensuring patients haveaccess to high-quality care. St. Lucie is a Certified Primary Stroke Center, asdesignated by the Joint Commission, and an American College of Cardiologyaccredited Chest Pain Center. Additionally, the Emergency Room at the mainhospital as well as the freestanding ER at Darwin Square are designed withconsideration for special populations such as pediatric and geriatric patients.

Job Description:

Helps create a superior clinical identity byoperationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and qualityoutcomes.  Ensures adherence to standardsof care. Supports efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improveefficiency, effectiveness and cost. Ensures a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision ofcare.  Supports the achievement ofinternal/external benchmarks, accreditations and designations. Ensurescompliance with all policies procedures and regulatory standards. Managesadmissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and highquality, patient-centered care. Facilitates effective interdisciplinary carecoordination within and across departments. Ensures staff with appropriateclinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs. Facilitateseffective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.Ensures staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meetpatient care needs. Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly andaccording to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.



Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing – required 
  • Bachelor’s degree - preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida 
    • or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
  • Current ACLS Certification.
  • Current BLS Certification.
