SHIFT: Nights (rotating weekends)

SCHEDULE: Full-time

Twin Cities Hospital located on Florida's Emerald Coast, seeks a full time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Team in ICU! The hours of this role are 7p-7a with alternating weekends. 

 

Position Summary:

 

The RN will provide professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Will collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team including physicians, to deliver quality health care.

 

The ICU/ Critical Care Unit is an eight bed multi-disciplinary unit. It specializes in the treatment of the adult patient with medical and/or surgical problems. The goal of the Critical Care Unit is to provide critical nursing interventions during the acute phases of the patient's medical and/or surgical hospitalization. The most common patients seen in the Critical Care Unit are those with cardiac or pulmonary problems such as Acute Coronary Syndrome, Chest Pain, Heart Failure, Pneumonia, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Exacerbation. Other types of patient in the unit include Sepsis, Poisoning and Toxic Effects of Drugs and various post-operative patients such as Spinal Fusions.

 

The Critical Care Unit is staffed with Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians. The nurses provide care to two and occasionally three patients during their shifts based on the population and the special needs of the patient in the unit.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • State of Florida RN License required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • Must complete basic arrhythmia class and /or pass arrhythmia test with > 80% within 90 days of hire
  • CCRN preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
  • Minimum of one year acute care experience required
  • Critical ICU care experience preferred
