Job Summary

Responsible for accurate receiving and storing national and imported products and equipment to meet company standards of sanitation, security, safety and productivity.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

  • Counts all product, compare to manifests and check all shipments for damage.
  • Reports shortages, damages and miss-shipments for every received file.
  • Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
  • Ensures all materials are received in accordance to company internal control process and department procedures.
  • Maintains accurate inventory locations and batch information for the received items in the ERPs system.
  • Registers every material deviation and makes information available for the Quality Assurance department according to the internal procedures.
  • Maintains equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Operates powered equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts helping maintain reliable inventory information.
  • ISO standards and procedures compliance and active participation in the verification audits.
  • Active participation and training in the safety and rescue brigades.
  • Keep warehouse clean and orderly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

  • High School diploma. Major in Chemistry or Pharmacy is preferred
  • One-year experience in materials handling. (Experience in pharmaceutical or chemistry industry is preferred)
  • Handles batch numbers and expiration dates and 5s principles
  • Reads security pictograms, materials security squares and certificates of analysis
  • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

  • Excel Skills
  • Handles office equipment (scanner and printer)
  • Experience using ERP system
  • Hand pallet truck and double reach Stacker handling
  • Responsible, hardworking and team work
  • Good practices for storage of dangerous materials
  • ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

  • Physical effort is required. Work requires walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that might weigh 77 lbs.
