POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Radiologist,performs Radiology Services procedures at a technical level requiring noconstant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technicalprocedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity andinitiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation. Assumes responsibility for designated areasor procedures required. Recognizes thepurpose employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forththe utmost quality as a Technologist. Performs examinations on patients of various ages from neonate togeriatric.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

Associate degree or equivalent in Radiology Technology required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

Comprehensiveknowledge of anatomy, positioning, radiographic techniques, and radiationprotection concepts and techniques

Knowledgeof radiographic physics, knowledge of medical terminology

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Licensed as a Radiology Technologist in the State of Florida.

ARRT registry required

BLS certification required
