Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a fun, compassionate, dependable Direct Care Professional to work with a young girl in North Port. She loves to be outdoors, play in water, collect things and play with her dolls. She is very caring, happy. Someone with some behavioral experience would be best. Caregiver must be ok with dogs as this family has 1.

CRN is committed to helping Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. We are looking for dedicated direct care professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.

This is an independent contract position for Personal Care Services and pays $10.25-$11 an hour depending on experience.

The schedule would be Mon-Fri 3p-7p and weekend hours will be available.

You will be a good fit for this position if you :

Provide proven 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities (this is a must). It can be professional or personal experience.

Have a High School diploma or equivalent

Have a Valid Drivers license

Can pass a level 2 Background check

Are 18 years of age or older

Have a positive and contagious energy

Demonstrate patience and compassion

Enjoy working with children, ideal experience would be working with a child with autism

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

Encouraging and supporting the child during after-school activities, homework, etc.

Meal/snack preparation

Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment

Performing light housekeeping tasks

Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, doctor appointments

Promote communication, choice, independence and socialization

Complete daily progress notes

Qualifications and Skills

Valid drivers license

Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
