Project Management Specialist
The Project Management Specialist’s primary role is to monitor and track the progress of key projects and initiatives and to troubleshoot any issues that arise. They’re also the point of contact for the project and in charge of communicating regular updates to the team. The PMS is organized, detail-oriented and resourceful. They have good quantitative analysis skills and can translate numerical reports into to-do items on the project plan and insights for internal and external client or management updates. They also possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
The T-ROC PMS collaborates widely and must be able establish relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders. For each initiative led, the PMS will ensure baseline project documents are produced, maintained and available to all stakeholders, leadership, and project team members and effectively used. This position will maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders at all levels to ensure risks are mitigated and opportunities are realized. In addition, the PMS will collaborate with business development to ensure project proposals are supported with proposal deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Develop overall project plans for cross-organizational projects, consistent with specific project objectives as defined by project owner and key stakeholders. Ensure baseline project documents are produced, maintained and available to all stakeholders, leadership, and project team members and effectively used. Ensure assigned individuals are executing identified and assigned tasks. Manage process of scope definition and change control. Schedule calls, meetings, and other means of communication necessary to manage project execution. Report financial, resources, technical issues, internal and external customer satisfaction status of assigned projects to management while monitoring and controlling the financial status of projects. Provide appropriate tracking and reporting per plan to management. Identify important potential risks related to project. Establish and execute detailed plans to ensure risks are mitigated and opportunities are realized. Collaborate with business development to ensure project proposals are supported with proposal deliverables. Ensure projects are properly closed out once completed and executed to T-ROC’s satisfaction. Perform as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Qualifications / Technical Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field required. Project management certification(s) a plus (ie, PMP, CAPM, CSM, CompTIA Project, PRINCE, CPMP, or similar) Retail Operations experience required Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines and adapt to changing and evolving work environment & priorities Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills Must be able to supervise entire teams of project team contributors and stakeholders at all levels, so some management experience is preferred Demonstrated ability to work/interact with all levels of management Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required Strong understanding of retail process flows/requirements/issues Proficiency in Wrike, Smartsheet, Trello, MS Project or Visio, and/or other project management tools required Demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented work as a self-starter Ability to manage multiple open items with a high degree of urgency to resolve, without sacrificing accuracy T-ROC is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals.
