How can you make a difference?

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the implementation of the regional component of the Multi-Year Resilience Programme (MYRP) facilitated by Education Cannot Wait (ECW) to address the Venezuela crisis affected countries. The regional component of the MYRP responds to a working scheme articulated among different partner organizations, including UNICEF LACRO as grantee, the Regional Education Working Group (REWG), implementing partners and the MYRP Steering Committee (composed by ECHO, INEE and R4V).

The Project Coordinator will ensure continuous alignment and support to the national MYRPs country partners (Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru). The Project Coordinator will guarantee an inclusive and participatory approach vis-à-vis all implementing partners to guarantee the smooth implementation of the programme and the achievement of the MYRP goals. In order to strengthen joint programming and collaboration, the Project Coordinator may be hosted by an implementing partner (member of the REWG), who will be responsible for the provision of an equipped office space and the working equipment (a computer, a phone, connectivity, and office supplies) for the coordinator. As per contractual requirements, the Coordinator has a direct reporting line to the Grantee and has a matrix reporting line to the Steering Committee (SC) and the ECW Secretariat focal point.

The efficiency and efficacy of support provided by the MYRP Project Coordinator to programme preparation, planning and implementation, contributes to the achievement of sustainable results to improve learning outcomes and universal access to quality, equitable and inclusive education. Success in education programmes and projects in turn contribute to maintaining and enhancing the credibility and ability of UNICEF to provide programme services for mothers and children that promotes greater social equality in the country.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have?

Education:  Masters' degree in education, international affairs, social science, or relevant technical fields. A Bachelor's' degree in a relevant field combined with three [3] additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a masters' degree.

Experience:
A minimum of five [5] years of professional experience in programme planning, management in education and related areas at the international level, some of which preferably in a developing country, is required.
Education in emergencies experience in humanitarian and/or migration crisis context is required.
Experience working in the coordination of inter-agency initiatives is required.
Experience in project management positions is required.
Prior experience working within the LAC Region is required.
Relevant experience in a UN System agency or organization will be considered an asset.

Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
