Summary:

  • The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for the alignment of customer demand and internal and external resources, and for resolution of supply constraints to delivery of products and services to the customer on-time to request.
  • Metrics of success are – On-Time to Request, Inventory Turns, Schedule Adherence, Capacity Utilization
  • Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and synchronize Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process through - Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Planning Bill Management
  • Own “supply side” of the SIOP process and ensure all constraints are escalated for resolution
  • Manage operational capacity to match customer needs to reserve/cancel slots and maintain integrity of schedule based on customer CNs and major supply constraints.
  • Lead weekly operational reviews to identify large orders in coordination with Key Account Representatives, Product Managers and Production Planners and Plant Manager(s)
  • Engage stakeholders and own continuous improvement opportunities to maximize capacity utilization and minimize cost overruns.
  • Balance daily requests from Sales Coordinators against know capacity and material plans
  • Engage material managers, planners, buyers and sales coordinators in resolving constraints
  • Extract / Analyze / Input planning parameters and data into the ERP System
  • Education:

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management / Industrial Engineering / Business
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products – Excel / Access / PowerPoint
  • Preferred:

  • MBA or MS in Industrial Engineering strongly preferred
  • APICS CPIM and IBF CPF strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of PowerQuery & PowerPivot and analytics/visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau
