Qualifications

We are currently lookingfor an enthusiastic Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As our Assistant,you willprovide treatment and rehabilitativeservices to patients to improve mobility, relieve pain and disability under thedirection of the Physical Therapist.If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be yournext opportunity.

 


  • You will conductpatient education, including post care planning, proper use of supportivedevices and equipment, and gait and functional training. 
  • You will record,monitor, analyze and review clinical data. Provide feedback to therapistregarding possible modifications to treatment plan and goals based upon patientperformance. 
  • Adapt recognized therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet theneeds of the patient. 

  • Youwill collaborate with patient service departments and community serviceagencies to coordinate and conduct educational outreach programs and learningactivities.  
  • Utilize appropriate methodsand material for effective learning, monitor response to education and adaptprogram as needed.

 

 

Requirements:

·        Associate of Science (A.S)degree or Associate of Applied Science  (A.A.S.) degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program

·        Experience in appropriate healthcaresetting preferred

·        Current state of Florida PhysicalTherapy Assistant license

·        Current FIM (Functional IndependenceMeasure) required

·        Current BLS (Basic Life Support)through American Heart Association (AHA).

·        Critical thinking and adaptability;services excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability toread/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal and writteninstructions; PC skills

·        Ability to perform work thatrequires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving,lifting patients and /or equipment up to 50 pounds
