Payroll Specialist - Miami

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll department in a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. You should have the ability to communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk position is ideal for individuals seeking a challenging position with a prominent industry leader and a strong career growth opportunity. Key responsibilities

- Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals

- Maintain payroll operations by training/instructing employees in the proper use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

- Retrieve reports as instructed by administering and/or distributing

- Be able to create and run custom reports

- Ensure efficient operation of the department by performing clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.

- Perform other duties as assigned

- Compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

- Knowledge of Certified Payroll

- Construction Industry experience

- Union payroll experience preferred

- Skilled in Payroll software

- 7+ years of previous payroll experience
