Non-Profit is looking to full-time a MEDICAL BILLING MANAGER. This position is will require that the individual have prior experience in the MEDICAL industry.
Some tasks this person will be responsible for include:
-Operations of Billing
ŸMonitor and resolve and respond to Revenue Cycle Management tasks.
ŸReview denials and rejections generated by Revenue Cycle management team.
ŸMonitor upcoming patient appointments to identify opportunities to update household income and insurance information.
ŸPerform audits on registered account to confirm UDS data being collect accurately.
ŸIdentify issues with Hedis coding and communicate with the Clinical Outcomes Manager.
ŸParticipate in Revenue Cycle management conference calls as touchpoints to identify opportunities for staff workflow optimization.
ŸIdentify issues with patient care gaps and failing measures that result in no or lower reimbursements and advise the CFO, Medical Director and the Chief Operations and Nursing Officer of the specific details and possible recommendation for correction action.
ŸKeeps current with payor contracts to ensure registration staff has resources to optimize scheduling.
ŸKeeps current with CPT, ICD10 updates to ensure staff has resources to optimize scheduling.
ŸExecute journal balancing to generate deposits for finance and all end of day processes.
ŸSends monthly statements to patients who have an outstanding balance.
ŸCompletes billing for the dental department.
ŸEnsures that the activities of billing operations are conducted in a manner that is consistent with the overall protocols of all departments.
ŸCoordinate internal audits to reduce errors in coding, documentation, registration, billing, and refunds. Note findings and create action plans.
-Encompassing Medical Billing and Coding to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician and other customer relations

ŸBachelor’s Degree in Health Administration or related field required.
ŸEquivalent work experience may substitute education requirements.
ŸKnowledge of CPT & ICD9/10, HCPCS, CDT coding and medical terminology and compliance
ŸKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
ŸKnowledge of billing and accounts receivable systems.
ŸKnowledge of healthcare contract terms, preferably for primary care, dental and/or behavioral health.
ŸAnalytical skills, time management, written & verbal skills.
