Job Title Manager, Finance Business Partner - M&A Overview • Finance leader of M&A activity in the Division Responsibilities • Lead Finance matters related to M&A activity in the Division providing insight, strategic view and ensure the risk reduction related to valuation, targets and financial due diligence. • Provides financial insights to group heads/executives. Drive the origination and identification of strategic equity investment and acquisition opportunities. Understand the Company’s strategic gaps and continuously monitor the marketplace for potential solutions and partners. • Big picture thinker able to fully connect with the payment industry environment and also see lateral opportunities across geographies and industries. Connect with external partners to understand all the movements in the industry and identify opportunities. • Embodies finance role when facing the M&A target teams and also players associated to the transaction. If needed and aligned with the M&A team, Directly interacts with external partners to negotiate. • Support cross-functional projects and act as a local PMO for any M&A projects. Coordinate the process and opportunities with the Global Corp Development team. • Partners with regions, business units, business partners and/or corporate to assist in developing, analyzing, aligning and validating new business opportunities. Apply consulting-type frameworks and tools to develop robust and concise analysis and recommendations. • Performs new opportunity assessments by providing counsel to the business around M&A deals. • Responsible to keep the pipeline update and communicate it. • Executes large, complex agreements, leveraging subject matter expertise [SME] for their designated area (e.g.. financial & data technology tools) • Assists with the M&A strategy and process improvements to ensure alignment with market objectives; proactively identifies ways to improve processes and executes agreed upon improvements • If a transaction is done, supports integration activities. Experiences • Experience managing major elements of large, cross-functional projects including M&A. • Consulting/payments industries preferred - knowledge of MasterCard products and services a strong plus. • Demonstrated success working with partners across other business units and markets in support of cross-functional programs • Experience providing regular feedback to team members and resolving performance issues • Gains exposure to delivering presentations and engaging with senior leadership • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills • Strong Process Management skills - able to understand and coordinate complex organizational processes and consolidate input from multiple stakeholders • Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information, ability to link data analysis with business implications • Financial Modeling skills are required. Experience in Investment Banking or Consulting is a strong plus. Due to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
