UCF Lake Nona Medical Center (UCFLNMC) is located in the southern Orlando suburb of Lake Nona, which is known as Medical City. UCFLNMC is a partnership facility owned by HCA Healthcare and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. It will be the first teaching hospital in Central Florida. Construction began in October 2018. Slated to open in late 2020, the 204,079-square-foot, 64-bed facility is expected to create more than 300 jobs when it opens late next year.
UCFLNMC will be located immediately adjacent to the UCF College of Medicine. It will be just minutes from the Orlando International Airport and will be easily accessible from major roads including Florida’s Turnpike, State Road 417 and the East-West Expressway.
Position Summary:
Under general supervision this position is responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance on all fixable and movable facility assets. Individuals in this position provides a safe and comfortable work environment for employees, patients and visitors by maintaining repairs and maintenance of heating, ventilation & air conditioning and refrigeration equipment for the hospital, grounds and hospital properties.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School or GED
- Vocational/advanced education in refrigeration, chillers, pneumatic Controls, electrical controls, heating, ventilation and A/C systems is required
- Mechanical: prefer 2 years of Operation/repair of heating, vent and A/C systems including central plan chilled Water & Direct expansion. Install & repair Commercial A/C & refrigeration units
- Maintenance: minimum of 3 years in building Mechanical main with skills in walk-in Refrig/freezer- ability to read blue prints & Schematics of maintenance related items.
