Title: Licensing Specialist
Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: Long Term Contract
 
Position Summary:
Process TPA Insurance Agents licensing through a working knowledge of state licensing procedures. Provides RMAC
Department with administrative support including contract management, telephone coverage, copier projects, mail
handling, supplies control, processing of letters/correspondence, events/meeting planning, report generation,
invoice/expense reporting, database management and assisting with completion of specially assigned projects.
Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
 
Core Responsibilities:
• Timely and accurately order, renew and terminate insurance agent licenses in system or on State DOI website
when necessary.
• Submit agent background information to National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and E-file National
Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) paperwork.
• Request carrier appointments as needed.
• Ensure Salesforce and Smartsheets are updated with active and cancelled licenses and proof of
appointments. Review pending licenses and make updates as needed.
• Update address changes within NIPR as necessary.
• Manage agent licensing requests and inquiries.
• Run and process monthly license renewal reports, and create License approval list.
• Communicate with other Wipro departments regarding insurance agent licensing processes, policies, and
status.
• Conduct research (online and telephonic) to ensure compliance with licensure requirements.
• Maintain and promotes agent confidentiality.
• Legal invoicing processing (coding, getting approvals, documenting)
• Monthly law firm aging reporting
• Logs, processes, tracks, and follows up on all Licensing Department requests (including but not limited to
projects, contracts, and research) that are submitted by other departments for legal review, research, and / or
approval.
• Responsible for contract and supporting documentation filing and retention.
• Maintain the storage and filing system for all physical and electronic legal files.
• Communicate with other departments to assist Legal Department in prioritization of projects, contracts,
research, etc.
• Responsible for legal expense reporting, supply management, mail handling, processing of letters /
correspondence, events / meeting planning, report generation, and assistance with completion of urgent
projects.
• Handle all items and one-off tasks as requested by Corporate Counsel.
• Manage special projects as assigned.
• Review and summarizes miscellaneous reports and documents as requested
• Work with other administrative personnel to accomplish company goals.
• Follow all Insurance regulations and requirements.
• Demonstrate thoroughness with all work related activities.

• Strive to continually improve quality and productivity results displayed by department personnel on an
ongoing basis.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility to ensure availability to meet the needs of the department for all hours of
operation and maintains regular and consistent attendance.
• Abide by all policies, procedures and protocols set forth in departmental, Wipro personnel, and
administrative policy manuals.
 
Qualification/ Experience Requirements:
• Calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience and the ability to work well
with all levels of levels of internal management and staff as well as outside customers, vendors, and
governmental agencies.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, management,
customers, and vendors.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general data.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and presentations
• Possess a high degree of proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
• Exceptional organizational skills required.
• Ability to meet designated deadlines is a critical qualification.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with vendors, government agencies,
customers, and other external contacts to the organization.
• Well organized; Highly Confidential; Excellent writing skills; Strong phone skills; Time Management; Strong
Multi-tasking skills.
• Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and
regulations, wherein the company operates.
 
Education:
• Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience as an administrative/ legal assistant and/or licensing experience or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Normal degree of physical effort in typical office environment.
• May be subject to interruptions.
• Required to work computer.
