Part-time lecturer to teach interaction design

Department of Cinema and Interactive Media

The University of Miami, Department of Cinema and Interactive Media, is soliciting applications for individuals interested in possible part-time teaching positions in interaction design (maximum two courses in a semester). Duties include teaching undergraduate courses in interaction design. We are looking for a candidate with experience in user experience design and prototyping, with skill in the development of course lectures and assignments that deal with: web & mobile design, gaming, human centered design, internet of things, design thinking, research methods, universal design, virtual/augmented reality, gestural interfaces, accessibility, visual communication/graphic design, and wearable technology. Demonstrated interest and experience in working in areas of sustainable practice, and/or design for social change which moves beyond screen-based interactions and applications is a plus. A masters degree in a related discipline required by time of appointment. Class times will be coordinated to accommodate applicants schedule.
