Kelly Services is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Planner for a company in Lakeland, FL.  This position is on a Temp to Hire bases and the working hours are from 7:00am to 4:00pm - Monday/Friday.  The potential candidate must meet the below requirements: The Purchasing and Planning Specialist will negotiate with manufacturers or service providers on prices of good related to our industry. They will make recommendations to upper management on possible purchases, monitoring trends and attempting to find the potential deals. This position will interact with every department from upper management, sales and manufacturing on a frequent basis. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Planning production and scheduling of all material requirements. 2. Purchasing of all raw materials. Maintaining all Purchasing documentation according to established guidelines. 3. Identifying cost reduction opportunities and implementation of cost reduction plans. 4. MRP - Inventory planning – maintaining stock levels within targeted levels. 5. Respond to all Customer queries relation to ongoing service issues. 6. Ongoing vendor appraisal and feedback. 7. Identifying new raw material sources. 8. Setting up supplier contracts and negotiations of best price. 9. Maintaining Item Master and costing for all raw materials / components in a correct and accurate manner. 10. Providing reports to management as required. 11. Participate on Continuous Improvement projects as required. 12. Ensure timely entry of Sales Orders and acknowledgement of orders to customers. 13. Highly organized and knowledgeable about the company’s goals and interests. Qualifications, Education, Skills · 3-5 years’ experience working in a purchasing role in a fast pace manufacturing facility. · Strong math, communications and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results thru others. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Excellent negotiations, customer service and problem solving. · Medical device knowledge and regulatory experience preferred. · Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines. · Proficient computer skills.
