IT Project Technology Lead

Description:
The IT Project Technology Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think digitally and differently to resolve problems/challenges in unconventional ways with a forward compatible mindset of being
curious, bold, adaptable and determined, while constantly striving to deliver remarkable experiences for our clients. Communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate status, risks and issues to all levels of Management and project stakeholders. Ability to coordinate and manage across various business segments and technology disciplines.

Responsibilities:
Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of IT project leadership.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others (i.e., architecture or infrastructure) collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.
Employ program management processes, methodology and standards for project execution and delivery.
Communicate to all stakeholders on a timely basis, often including Senior or Executive Level Management.
Interfaces with senior project staff and client senior management teams regarding status of projects.
Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
Persuades and influences others through and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
Supports project negotiations by providing subject matter expertise around retail banking and project lifecycle methodologies.
Builds and maintains high performance agile scrum teams through own actions and direction provided to others.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding ***, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:
7-9 years experience in a related technology project management role (program manager, project manager, or scrum master)
Previous track record that demonstrates the successful implementation of large scale, cross functional, strategic initiatives.
Ability to coordinate and manage across various business segments and technology disciplines.
Must have strong leadership, interpersonal, influence, negotiation, organization & communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Financial Services industry or comparable large company/consulting organization.
Experience
Managing Cloud based digital banking platform initiatives e.g., Salesforce CRM
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel,and Powerpoint,
JIRA experience preferred

Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
Scrum Master or PMP certification
