I.T. Assistant

Cape Coral, FL

Summary: This position will assist the IT Department with installation and maintenance of computers / computer systems, networks, and other IT/electronic equipment for the highest functionality.

Job Duties:

Assist information technology department with most aspects of company computer systems/network, including, but not limited to desktop support and cabling (running wire).

Set up workstations with computers and other necessary peripheral devices (printers, phones, etc.).

Check computer hardware (cables, monitors, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.

Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications and under direction of IT Administrator.

Maintain local networks to ensure optimal performance.

Assist with ensuring security and privacy of networks and computer systems.

Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer / IT equipment.

Assist with organizing and scheduling upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work / minimizing down-time as much as possible.

Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems and user issues (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.), under direction of IT Administrator.

Maintain records/logs of repairs, fixes and/or maintenance schedules.

HOURS: M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm

SALARY: $15.00 - $17.00/HOUR
