As a part of TIAA's Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

JOB SUMMARY

The Home Lending Sales Coach will provide key support in coaching and training for Home Lending Sales. This role will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, training and analyzing Loan Officers; specifically tasked with working alongside Loan Officers to provide sales coaching in an effort to increase overall performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include designing individual and team training courses and preparing educational material.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepares new sales representatives by conducting orientation to sales process and developing individual coaching plans
  • Provides helpful advice on improving job related challenges
  • Emphasis on conducting side by side coaching to Loan Officers across different channels of Retail Direct Sales and provides details summary to leadership
  • Serves as the subject matter expert in supporting sales staff based on best practice sales techniques
  • Partners with leadership to identify and analyze areas of sales opportunities for products and/or services in support of business goals; monitors the Loan Officers overall effectiveness throughout the sales process
  • Proactively reaches out to the sales teams to uncover inefficiencies in navigation through platforms and processes with special attention being paid to new associates and helping them get productive in a timely manner
  • Regularly schedules best practices training and workshops
  • Develops and maintains training materials related to sales initiatives including presentations, job aids, participant handouts, virtual class materials, and other resources
  • Ability to report and present to management learnings and efficiencies that can be gained by working directly with Loan Officers
  • Attends internal and external training courses
  • Ability travel to Retail Direct sales offices around the country
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with sales coaching techniques and e-learning platforms
  • Experience creating training materials and presentations (i.e. videos or slides)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate people
  • Broad knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA, HELOCs and Jumbo products
  • Problem-solving skills


REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of mortgage experience in a sales, processing, training, or support capacity
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Mortgage Sales Coach, Loan Officer, or similar role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience using mortgage origination platforms (Ex. Empower, Encompass, Velocify, Blend)
