WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

The role is to strategize, design, implement and deliver cloud-native while ensuring high availability on both production and pre-production systems. The role is truly cross-functional with many diverse internal and clients’ projects, using disruptive and innovative open-source technologies. The ideal candidate will work mostly independently taking responsibility while working with top businesses worldwide, developing cutting-edge solutions, to solve challenging problems, to be willing to communicate with clients worldwide and the most importantly, to make an impact on the entire business process by providing innovation. Implement strategic solutions for CI/CD automation deployment, test automation.

Familiar with modern patterns of DevOps, focusing in Cloud Native solutions. Working within Marionete as a mentor to junior team members. Liaison with customers to find integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on client projects consistently producing innovative, high quality software in a timely and concise manner demonstrating Marionete’s core values
  • Managing and improving Marionete’s infrastructure
  • Working with customers to deliver Cloud Native DevOps solutions
  • Helping us build the next generation of our platform and supporting customer needs
  • Streamlining and automating our delivery and deployment processes. Continuous integration and test Automation
  • Working closely with our developers and product team to improve performance, stability and reliability
  • In addition to your core development responsibility, you will be required to mentor and training junior colleagues. Actively participating in Marionete’s Academy program contributing with ideas and sharing your knowledge and experience to help Marionete strengthen the team.
  • Participate in architecture design and decisions. Collaborate with application development and architecture colleagues
  • Optimisation of Marionete architecture for highest availability. Develop capacity plans for new & existing clusters. Plan backup strategies and disaster recovery/fail-over configurations
  • Ensure precise and up-to-date system documentations
  • Actively participate in Marionete Academy for continuous improvement of subjects and prescribed methods
  • Strategic thinking for next generation DevOps solutions.
  • Experience

    The ideal candidate will have worked as a DevOps engineer for 5+ years, experience on another startup but not essential. You will also have knowledge and experience of:

  • Linux/ Windows systems administration
  • Experience with Cloud platforms
  • Experience Cloud Native
  • Development background essential, preferable with Open-source solutions and Python background
  • Kubernetes, containerisation
  • Experienced in monitoring tools, frameworks and processes
  • Leadership experience and Agile practice
  • Experience with Behaviour Driven Development (BBD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) frameworks
  • Deployment patterns, Blue-Green, Red-Black, A/B, Canary
  • Key Competencies

  • Degree or higher in Computer Sciences or similar
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, understand customer needs.
  • Ability to work in small teams and independently, with internal and external infrastructures
  • Enjoy learning new technology. Teamwork and collaboration. Mentor and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to master new challenges and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and troubleshooting skills, problem analysis and assessment, judgment and problem solving
  • Takes initiatives, adaptability and integrity
