- Set up and turn over procedures room in the morning and after each procedure.
- Assist under physician/registered nurse guidelines selected technical procedures during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Collects specimens and labels correctly following standard precautions and transports them to Lab using standard precautions.
- Participates with admissions, transfers, and discharges per hospital policy and procedure.
- Give support and reassurance to the patient during procedures as needed.
- Daily checks and stocks the emergency endoscopy cart as needed.
- Demonstrates proper care and handling of endoscopes 100% of the time.
- Maintain and document Chemical Indicator test every load.
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Degree
- BLS from American Heart Association
- 1-3 years experience
