Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a  fun, compassionate, dependable Direct Care Professional to work with a young man. He is described as sweet, very social and happy go lucky. The Direct Support Professional will assist this young man with daily activities and any other needs (ex: hygiene, meal prep, community outings, light house chores).

CRN is committed to helping Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. We are looking for dedicated direct care professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.

This is an independent contract position and pays between $10.50-$11.00 an hour depending on experience.

Schedule is 2 days (flexible) a work week 9a-9p & Sat/Sun 12 hours/day

You will be a good fit for this position if you :

  • Provide proven 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities (this is a must). It can be professional or personal experience.
  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Have a Valid Drivers license 
  • Can pass a level 2 Background check
  •  Are 18 years of age or older 
  • Have a positive and contagious energy 
  • Demonstrate patience and compassion
  • Enjoy working with children, ideal experience would be working with a child with autism

    • Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

  • Encouraging and supporting the child during after-school activities, homework, etc. 
  • Meal/snack preparation 
  • Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment 
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks 
  • Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, doctor appointments 
  • Promote communication, choice, independence and socialization 
  • Complete daily progress notes

    • Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid drivers license 
  • Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
