Medical Customer Service Representative

Fort Myers, FL

Busy medical practice in Fort Myers is seeking a customer service representative to join their team.

Job Duties:

Constant patient contact

Routes calls successfully.

Determines next step for customers seeking services (through a series of pre-determined questions.)

Provides information related to community resources.

Links individuals to services as determined to be appropriate by scheduling appointment and/or making a referral via electronic medical record.

Provides excellent customer service.

Demonstrates excellent teamwork marked by mutual respect and collaboration.

Responsible for ensuring a consistent flow of patients and data.

Maintains regular communication with the Billing Dept., advising of all changes in insurance.

Maintain compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA standards.

Attends meetings as requested by supervisor.

Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and ensures that staff incorporate cultural issues throughout care i.e. assessment, service planning, service delivery, and discharge.

Keep work area neat and organized.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

HOURS: M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm

SALARY: $10.00 - $11.25/HOUR
