Finance Analyst

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to work closely with the management and the operations teams in executing accounting processes such as month-end reconciliation and Manual Journals, running the finance function of the business, and working on various data-based projects.

Utilizing our cloud-based systems the Analyst will collect the data to create the reports which will be presented to third parties showing different views of the customer base, lending portfolio, and customer repayment behavior.

We work in a fast-paced environment, and we build our team to be autonomous, agile and place great value on individuals who solve their own problems. Since we work in a small, but a highly technical team, you will work directly with the operations, product, engineering, and data science teams.

Responsibilities - Controls and Reporting

• Preparation and analysis of the financial statements of the company.
• Financial controls and reporting function of the group's entities.
• Support to Month End's, Year-End, and Audit Requests.
• Accounting Books and Collections Data.
• Taxes & Reconciliations
• Create reports for the product team and/or third-party partners with the Development team.
• Preparation of accounting policies for the different business units for the delivery of weekly information to the accounting firm.
• Design and implementation of treasury policies, protocols, and controls.
• Analysis and financial management of the business (profitability index, analysis of income and expenses, etc.).
• Financial management of cash flow, control of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-3 years experience working within a Finance & Accounting team.
• Work experience doing quantitative analysis
• Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish fluently and idiomatically.
• Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment, and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Excellent analytical and modeling skills.
• SQL experience is a Plus
