The Department of Statistics and Data Science at UCF is dedicated to high-caliber research at the intersection of statistics, statistical machine learning, deep learning, data mining, computer science, and applied mathematics and to developing the statistical and analytical abilities of students that are necessary in an increasingly data-driven world. The Ph.D. program in Big Data Analytics offered by the department is the first of its kind in Florida, and one of only a few programs globally, that trains students and researchers to tackle the scale and complexity of real-world datasets encountered in contemporary industrial and academic settings. The department offers two undergraduate degrees, one in statistics and one in actuarial science; an M.S. degree with two tracks in data science and statistics; a SAS data mining certificate program and a Ph.D. degree in big data analytics. In 2021, the department is expected to launch a joint B.S. degree program in Data Science. For more information, visit
