Emergency Vehicle Technician - Fort Lauderdale

This is a customer support / auto mechanic position responsible for repairing and servicing fire-emergency vehicles. In addition, the candidate must be able to solve customer problems and conduct repairs with the utmost level of safety and accuracy while being called upon to perform assembly & light manufacturing tasks. The candidate must have an excellent mechanical skillset and be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service needs as required.

• Repair fire-emergency apparatus as directed.

• Become proficient in the assembly of light vehicles and ambulance remounts as required.

• Schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance as required.

• Establish relationships with customers to ensure optimal support in assigned area.

• Quote repairs and maintenance to customers as required.

• Attend trade shows, municipal events, county events and conferences as necessary

• Conduct manufacturer tours and inspections with customers at factory locations

• Demonstrate behavior of high quality work and high productivity

Education, Skills and Experience

• Must have H.S. diploma or equivalent

• Heavy truck automotive experience preferred.

• Experience in fire-rescue industry preferred or professional sales.

• Experience in service of customized equipment and/or products.

• Experience with automotive diagnostic software

• Experience with automotive multiplex electrical systems helpful

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Salary: $14.00/hr
