The ER Registered Charge Nurse at FREE STANDING NORMANDY PARK ER is responsible for the deliveryof quality patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction ofdepartmental leadership. Apply your nursing knowledge derived from educationand experience as foundation for patient care, communication, and documentationon the unit. We are seeking a Registered Charge Nurse who has the samepassion for patient care as we do.

  • You will provide quality patient care, in keeping with thephilosophy and objectives of the hospital and department.
  • You will maintain and support the standards of nursing careand practice in order to meet the healthcare needs of patients, their familiesand the community.
  • You will prescribe, delegate and coordinate all nursing careprovided to assigned patients and be responsible for meeting all standardsassociated with performance, nursing practice and nursing care.
  • You will assess,plan, implement, evaluate and coordinate treatment plans in collaboration withthe patient, the patient’s family and other members of the healthcare team.
  • You will demonstratethe ability to manage critical situations and make care-based decisions.
  • You will educatepatients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providingpatients and their families with support throughout their stay.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Must be a graduatefrom an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higheris required
  • Must be licensed as aRegistered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an activeCompact/Multi-State RN license
  • A current AmericanHeart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) HealthCare Provider is required
  • Current AmericanHeart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS) is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months ofhire/transfer date
  • Must have at least3-5 years of relevant experience, critical care experience preferred
