Ocala Health encompasses Ocala Regional Medical Center, a 256-bedfacility located in the heart of Ocala, and West Marion Community Hospital, a174-bed hospital located in west Marion County, Summerfield ER, a freestandingemergency department located in southern Marion County, and Maricamp ER, afreestanding emergency department located on Maricamp Road in Ocala. OcalaRegional Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center and a Comprehensive StrokeCenter. The hospitals offer a host of other quality and award winning servicesincluding orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac andvascular services including open heart surgery and interventional procedures,emergency, neurological and rehabilitation services, and bariatric surgery.Ocala Health has the only Commission on Cancer approved cancer center in MarionCounty. Ocala Health’s outpatient facilities include Family Care Specialists, aprimary care network of six locations throughout Marion County; AdvancedImaging Centers; a freestanding Wound and Hyperbaric Center; a Senior WellnessCommunity Center; and three surgical and physician specialty practices.

Directorof Quality - RN

Responsible to provide comprehensive assessment, planning,monitoring, and evaluation for compliance with accreditation and regulatoryagencies including any state licensing standards.

The Director shall investigate regulations, standards, and lawsand make initial recommendations to ensure compliance with all regulatory andaccrediting entities. The Director will translate standards, requirements, andpolicies into terms or processes meaningful to the staff and provideconsultation and education to relevant task forces, quality action teams, andcommittees to ensure ongoing compliance with standards.

The Director will ensure an ongoing mechanism for proactivemonitoring and auditing is developed, continually updated, and executed on aregular schedule and the results of any monitoring or auditing are madeavailable to the appropriate leadership.

The Director is responsible for directing and coordinatingregulatory and accreditation functions, ensuring appropriate preparation, andactive participation of appropriate staff and managers for agencies such as TheJoint Commission (TJC), Florida’s Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA),and/or the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and to formulateresponses to accreditation findings and inquiries.

Demonstrated success and abilities in leadership, achievingresults, communications, customer service and health care management.

• 3-5 years Quality Leadership experience
• Hospital based experience required
• Previous experience in accreditation, quality, utilization management or risk required
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
• Previous experience in a nursing and/or administration role preferred 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing                                    

• RN license in the State of Florida
• CPHQ required. (must obtain within 6 mos. after hire)
