Since1950 Mercy Hospital has been serving the healthcare needs of South Florida. Licensedfor 488-beds, Accredited by the Joint Commission, Mercy Hospital is affiliatedwith more than 1,000 physicians representing a wide range of medicalspecialties to serve the residents of Miami-Dade county and surroundingcommunities. Job Description:
Magnet Program Director is responsiblefor coordinating activities required to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet status.This includes, but not limited to, providing education to nurses about MagnetRecognition, coordination and facilitation of any related project teams, andserving as a resource for SharedGovernance Councils. Coordinates assessment of Magnet gap analysis, developsand submits all required applications for Magnet Recognition andRe-designation, verifying that all requirements are met, and designs andimplements a process to maintain Magnet performance requirements inanticipation of future re-application for Magnet Status. Facilitates andoversees the preparation of all Magnet documentation, policies, andinformational sessions relative to maintain magnet status for Mercy Hospital.Oversees collection and submission of key nursing sensitive outcome indicatorsand develops quarterly and annual reports for submission to the ANCC Magnetoffice, and Mercy Hospital executive nursing leadership.      

Qualifications

  • BSN or Bachelors Degree in related businessfield required
  • Masters / Doctorate Degree preferred
  • 3 - 5 years experience
