Responsibilities

The Orlando Sentinel is looking for a digital producer with strong journalism, social media and SEO skills to join the largest media operation in Central Florida. The digital producer is part of the Audience Engagement team that manages editorial content across all digital and social platforms. This person will help set the news coverage agenda for the newsroom each morning, identifying topics and trending stories that matter to our subscribers. This person needs a critical eye for potential conversation starters among our audience, and will write stories, curate the newsroom's morning newsletter and manage the website. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in journalism (or related field) or comparable professional experience in digital journalism. A deep understanding of search engine optimization and social media strategy is ideal. Strong writing and visual editing skills a definite plus. A passion for digital journalism, a competitive spirit and the ability to work well across teams are absolute musts. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits.
