Job Title Digital Acceptance & Products Director (Mexico & Central America) Overview The position for Director Digital is essential to achieve our Goal in Mastercard to expand digital solutions with focus on digital Acceptance. This position is the responsible to thrive the agenda in the ABM (Mexican Banks Association) so the solutions can be adopted from all the important players in the payment’s ecosystem. Is the Subject Matter Expert in digital thinking to define the roadmap so solutions can be enabling in the market. Needs to create the necessary network with allies so Mastercard can advance on its agenda. This position will be key to introduce our different payments solutions assuring are well implemented and with the layers of security needed. • Acts as an incubation phase for the creation/ideation of new products • Roles in this family focus on innovation management; they assess opportunities, define and create new products/prototypes and test differentiated value propositions that meet stakeholder needs (eg, consumer, merchants, banks, governments, issuers) Role • Core Areas • Drives development of new products in anticipation of or response to customer needs, market trends, and competitive opportunities • Generates and evaluates ideas to enhance MasterCard’s suite of product offerings and create a competitive advantage • Partners with global and/or regional teams to identify opportunities for products and new services, inform internal stakeholders on new features of product offerings and improve the existing development process where possible • Initiates and directs qualitative and quantitative market research to validate trends and competitive opportunities for developing new products • Leads interfacing with technical developers to translate product requirements into technical specifications, ensuring mutual understanding and minimizing time to market • Drives rapid prototyping, iterative design and delivery for a suite of MasterCard products and/or services • Validates technical delivery and ensures that output complies with the product requirements and is fit-for-purpose • Integrates new requirements into existing product and service solutions leveraging project management skills and product development expertise • Supervises a group/team, ensures compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal processes, coaches and develops employees as an organizational resource Other Areas (Applicable to most jobs) • Ensure appropriate use of and compliance with the New Product Development/Go-To-Market (NPD/GTM) process • Develops and presents business cases for new business and product opportunities • Provides input and recommendations for pricing and product positioning in the market All About You • Experience in overseeing the rapid prototyping for regional/local products • Experience building winning business cases by formulating quality epics (objectives) and translating them into stories (key details) • Experience conducting product demonstrations and presenting compelling product propositions at external industry events for key stakeholders/audience • Strong track record at synthesizing products and services from multiple functional areas into value propositions that align with regional or local customer need Due to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
