Development Scientist - Miami

Our client, a leading medical device company is looking for a Development Scientist . This is for an initial duration of 6 months and is located in Miami, FL
 
Description:

The ideal candidate will be scientific minded, able to read and thoroughly comprehend scientific literature; write scientific protocols and reports following established standards, practices and procedures; and exercise independent/correlated analytical judgment.

Prior experience performing various clinical laboratory tests to obtain data is a plus.

Experience with IVDR, regulatory requirements, clinical regulations, and creation of technical files is highly preferred.

Qualifications/Required Education:

BS degree in the biological sciences, microbiology, immunology, chemistry or medical technology with 3+ years of relevant direct experience.

MS degree in a scientific discipline with 1+ years of direct experience.

PhD degree in a scientific discipline with 1+ years of direct experience.

Relevant direct experience includes performing scientific literature searches, comprehending scientific literature, and writing scientific protocols and reports following established standards. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

2+ years of General Clinical Laboratory experience having a combination of clinical laboratory and either clinical research laboratory or in-vitro diagnostic / biotechnology / Pharmacology (FDA regulated) laboratory experience.

MT or CLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification/license – highly preferred.

Knowledge and experience in CAP inspections a plus.

Prior R&D and/or clinical experience in urinalysis, hematology, immunoassay, clinical chemistry, or flow cytometry a plus.

Reagent or controls development experience is a plus.
