ARC Group, a Forbes-ranked top 20 recruiting and executive search firm working with clients nationwide to recruit the highest quality technical resources, has an immediate opportunity with our retail client for a Data Scientist in Boca Raton, FL.
The position is starting out as a 6-month contract virtually but will return to the office when COVID restrictions are lifted. Therefore, only local candidates are being considered. W2 ONLY; no other payment term, visa transfers or sponsorship allowed.
The Testing and Optimization analyst will support our Test and Learn team with insights gained from analyzing business data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization. Have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations. Should have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. Must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with business stakeholders on a wide range of testing scenarios across E-commerce, Marketing, Retail, Merchandising, and Supply Chain businesses. Provide pre and post-test analysis to measure the incremental impact driven by testing efforts. Guide test design to ensure proper controls are in place for all test scenarios. Measure the statistical significance of tests using inferential statistical methods. Communicate the results and insights of statistical test analysis to stakeholders to help shape decision making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, information science, computer engineering, or related field required.

- Optimization, multivariate testing, and design of experiments (DOE).
- 3 years of applicable experience with database technologies.
- Hands-on experience with various relational databases and have exposure to cloud environments.
- Must-have experience (Python, SQL, Spark, R, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative and data-driven approaches.
- Experience working across a highly matrixed organization, and a strong ability to partner and influence results.
