Our client, a leading Financial company is hiring a Data Engineer on a Contract basis.

Job Description:
Project Summary
Employee well-being and productivity project to assist with management of post-COVID work environment. Gather various data points from multiple sources within Client and load to big data Hadoop solution. Transform data into usable form per user requirements. Implement proper controls to protect integrity of data and limit use of sensitive data to unauthorized individuals. Data to be leveraged by data science analysts to develop insights and report findings back to senior management.

Job Responsibilities:

Data ingestion of various data sources and transforming data per requirements
Data masking, filtering and encryption per legal and compliance guidance
Data quality and completeness controls
Performance optimization of Hadoop processes
Documentation of system design and processing logic

Required Experience:
5+ year experience relevant work with the below technologies (3 recent years)
Skillsets
o Spark
o Pyspark
o HIVE
o SQL
o Hadoop and the ability to work with different file formats: ORC, Parquet
o Shell scripting
o GIT/Bit bucket
o Sentry (skill/knowledge a plus)
o Cloud (skill/knowledge a plus)
